On November 13th, the Food Justice Collaborative welcomes you to their Open House at Lake Burien Presbyterian Church.

This day will include: powerful opening and closing plenaries, tabling from FJC members, celebration, community, and of course, food!
We’ll begin the day by looking at how to reclaim “Food is Medicine” from an Indigenous Framework and make the cause for FJC. We’ll reflect on our own personal relationships to food.
We’ll break for lunch and each of our member orgs will introduce themselves at tables in the large hall. On display will be culturally relevant foods that represent our traditional food pathways.
We’ll end the day by hearing from a panel of FJC members about what is working, and revisit our personal relationships to food.
Throughout the day, we’ll also have Call-To-Actions: advocacy asks, a cultural foods survey, and ways to get more involved with FJC.
All attendees will receive a Gift Bag with FJC swag.
