Summer Updates
JUNE
Recently, we visited Seed2Fork’s farm in Renton, with Ada Alston, who guided us through the organization’s pillars and who gave us a tour of the growing garden, both inspired by the 7 Kwanzaa principles.
We gained a deeper understanding of the important cultural food work Seed2Fork is doing, from direct food security to the larger cultural well-being and nutrition education.
JULY
In mid-July, the co-leaders gathered at Alimentando al Pueblo’s fundraiser dinner and learned about the incredible work happening in the Burien Latine community. The evening was highlighted by a festive musical dance party, thanks to Seattle Fandango Project.
AUGUST
SUMMER BBQ party!
We gathered as a coalition on Tuesday, July 28th, at Seahurst Park, to celebrate our hard work, plus our love of good food and good company!
